QuickStraightTeeth™

Get ‘QuickStraightTeeth’ in less time than conventional braces

Traditionally squint front teeth have been a real problem, particularly for adult patients. Whilst wanting
straight teeth, most adults don’t like the idea of wearing braces that are permanently cemented in place for 12-
24 months. Here at North Berwick Dental Centre, Crawford Elrick can now improve your smile in less time
than you thought possible. QuickStraightTeeth™ is a system that uses tooth coloured brackets and wires that
are bonded to the teeth, alternatively a clear aligner system may be more suited to your bite or lifestyle.
QuickStraightTeeth™ focusses on improving the appearance of the smile without looking to reorganise your
bite. This means that treatment can be faster that you might imagine.

Tooth Brushing

No matter which tooth brush you use it is important to use it effectively: in order to clean every surface of every tooth and to ensure that all plaque and food deposits are removed and gums are kept healthy. This takes at least 2 minutes which should be timed.

Teeth should be cleaned at least twice a day

Always last thing at night and also after any sugary snack. This is extremely important, especially for children whose teeth are more susceptible to decay.

Mouthwashes

Fluoride mouthwashes are also available and are exceptionally beneficial for older patients whose salivary flow may be reduced and who may have gum recession.

Both these factors can lead to an increase in decay and using an additional fluoride mouthrinse can reduce this risk.

Child’s First Visit

At North Berwick Dental Centre we try to make your child’s first dental appointment as relaxed as possible. They will have the chance to explore a new environment and discover exciting facts about their own mouths. A visit to our surgery can be educational and enjoyable for children and their parents.

Ensuring they feel happy and confident about their visit

It is best for your child to perhaps accompany yourself or an older sibling to observe a dental visit on the first occasion, thus introducing themselves to the dentist, the environment and reducing the fear of the unknown.
